Sons of the Kingdom

In Matthew 13, Jesus told the Parable of the Sower and taught that there are two eternal kingdoms being sown in this world. One is the kingdom of heaven which He Himself is sowing (verse 37-38) and the other kingdom is the tares (weeds) that are sown by the wicked one (Satan). Jesus said in Matthew 12:30 that those not with Him (gathering people to His Kingdom) are against Him (scattering instead). We see this clearly in the music world. We encourage every follower of Jesus Christ to embrace your calling and not to envy or identify with the sons of the enemy who desire to exploit their fans for personal gain. The Bible calls them “enemies of the cross” (Philippians 3:18-19). Some of you reading this have been chosen before the foundation of the world to faithfully represent Him daily and build His Kingdom. Do it. Jesus is King!

V1 – From the day I was born Your warriors cared for me (Psalm 91:11-12 / Hebrews 1:14 / Matthew 18:10).
You have set me apart (Galatians 1:15 / Jeremiah 1:5 / Ephesians 1:4) tasting glorious liberty (Galatians 5:1 / 2 Corinthians 3:17 / Luke 4:18).
I yield, knowing Your plan, seeing Your Hand, drawing them in (Romans 6:13 / Isaiah 59:1 / John 6:44, 12:32).
But I know, there are some who will never believe (Matthew 7:13-14 / Matthew 10:33 / John 5:28-29).

The enemy has sown his seeds (Matthew 13:25)
Using them like pawns in his great deception (2 John 7 / Revelation 12:9 / Ephesians 2:1-2 / John 8:44).
Lawless and cold, enslaved to their own devices (1 Peter 4:3-5 / Matthew 24:11-12 / Titus 3:3 / 2 Timothy 3:2-5).
Their hate is fueled by their own perceptions (Romans 1:28-31 / 1 John 2:11).

V2 – The enemies of the cross set their minds on earthly things (Philippians 3:18-19 / Colossians 3:5-6 / Romans 8:5).
But You my Savior have called me out that is why I sing (Acts 2:38-39 / 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 / Psalm 95:1-2, 96:1-2).
Call on Him, while He may be found (Isaiah 55:6-7 / Romans 10:13 / 2 Corinthians 2:2),
It’s not too late, knees on the ground (Psalm 95:6).
Holy intimate reverence and love to Him we bring (Psalm 5:7 / Romans 12:1 / Psalm 116:1-2 / Matthew 22:37)!

If you are His, you know deep inside (Romans 8:15-17 / Galatians 4:6-7).
Don’t envy the wrong, separate your mind (Proverbs 23:17 / Romans 13:13-14 / 1 Peter 2:1-2).
The righteous will shine and demons will flee (Isaiah 60:13 / Ephesians 5:8-14 / Mark 16:17 / Luke 10:17-19).
Destroying the kingdom of darkness for all to see (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 / Ephesians 3:10 / 1 John 3:8; 4:17).

Chorus

Sons of the Kingdom (Matthew 13:36-43 / Colossians 1:13 / Luke 18:16-17)

His love is always on display (1 John 4:11-14 / 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 / Matthew 5:43-45, 19:19).
People are waiting (Matthew 9:36-38 / Mark 6:44 / Romans 10:14-15).
They need to find the only Way (John 14:6 / Hebrews 10:19-20 / Acts 4:11-12).

We are asking for wisdom to know and to discern (James 1:5 / Proverbs 2:2-10).
Holy One, there’s no god like You, You give us life, Faithful and True (Psalm 71:22 / 1 Kings 8:23 / Romans 8:11 / Revelation 19:11).
Incomprehensible – awesome in power in all You do (Psalm 145:3 / Romans 11:33 / Psalm 66:3 / Jeremiah 29:17-19 / Ephesians 3:20-21).

King of Kings (1 Timothy 6:15-16 / Revelation 17:14, 19:16)
