Sons of the Kingdom

In Matthew 13, Jesus told the Parable of the Sower and taught that there are two eternal kingdoms being sown in this world. One is the kingdom of heaven which He Himself is sowing (verse 37-38) and the other kingdom is the tares (weeds) that are sown by the wicked one (Satan). Jesus said in Matthew 12:30 that those not with Him (gathering people to His Kingdom) are against Him (scattering instead). We see this clearly in the music world. We encourage every follower of Jesus Christ to embrace your calling and not to envy or identify with the sons of the enemy who desire to exploit their fans for personal gain. The Bible calls them “enemies of the cross” (Philippians 3:18-19). Some of you reading this have been chosen before the foundation of the world to faithfully represent Him daily and build His Kingdom. Do it. Jesus is King!
V1 – From the day I was born Your warriors cared for me (Psalm 91:11-12 / Hebrews 1:14 / Matthew 18:10).
You have set me apart (Galatians 1:15 / Jeremiah 1:5 / Ephesians 1:4) tasting glorious liberty (Galatians 5:1 / 2 Corinthians 3:17 / Luke 4:18).
I yield, knowing Your plan, seeing Your Hand, drawing them in (Romans 6:13 / Isaiah 59:1 / John 6:44, 12:32).
But I know, there are some who will never believe (Matthew 7:13-14 / Matthew 10:33 / John 5:28-29).
The enemy has sown his seeds (Matthew 13:25)
Using them like pawns in his great deception (2 John 7 / Revelation 12:9 / Ephesians 2:1-2 / John 8:44).
Lawless and cold, enslaved to their own devices (1 Peter 4:3-5 / Matthew 24:11-12 / Titus 3:3 / 2 Timothy 3:2-5).
Their hate is fueled by their own perceptions (Romans 1:28-31 / 1 John 2:11).
V2 – The enemies of the cross set their minds on earthly things (Philippians 3:18-19 / Colossians 3:5-6 / Romans 8:5).
But You my Savior have called me out that is why I sing (Acts 2:38-39 / 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 / Psalm 95:1-2, 96:1-2).
Call on Him, while He may be found (Isaiah 55:6-7 / Romans 10:13 / 2 Corinthians 2:2),
It’s not too late, knees on the ground (Psalm 95:6).

Greater Things

Jesus Christ spent three years with His disciples before He left them to be with the Father. In John 14 He told them that although He was leaving them, the Holy Spirit was coming to live in them and empower them so that they would do the works that He did – and more! Later in Mark 16 He told His disciples that even those who would believe their message would also do these mighty supernatural signs. All of us who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ need to ask Him for wisdom in how to embrace the calling that is on our lives and use the amazing power of the Holy Spirit as He did (1 John 2:6; 4:17).

This song was inspired by the many martyrs who have given their lives throughout the ages because they publicly proclaimed their faith and allegiance to our LORD, Jesus Christ. Although Christ secured eternal salvation once for all on the Cross – being perfected for all of us and resurrected from the dead – completing the work, suffering for Him is still part of the Christian life (Philippians1:29). Every believer in Jesus Christ should ask themselves if they would be willing to give their lives for Him.
V1 – Prepare My Bride to be (Revelation 19:7-8)
Perfected by the sword (James 1:2-4 / Romans 8:35-37 / Hebrews 11:35-38).
In reverent sweet surrender (Philippians 1:20-21 / Acts 21:12-13 / Luke 7:37-38)
Her beauty I adore (Revelation 21:9-11).
V2 – The rage she sees is rising (Acts 7:54 / 1 Peter 4:12-16 / Luke 7:37-38)
The horror black with fear.
Yet through it all surprising
Is peace and joy so near (John 16:32-33 / John 14:27).
V3 – No one seems to see the glory (John 12:39-41 / 2 Corinthians 4:3-4)
Eyes are blinded, dark and cold (2 Corinthians 4:4).
But time reveals the story
Kill the body but not the soul (Matthew 10:28).
V4 – Father, I see the glory (Acts 7:55-56)
He is standing at Your right hand
Look now unto the heavens
Jesus Christ, the Son of Man.

This song was written and performed for the glory of God for His people who are experiencing the pain and calamity that Satan unleashes in various ways to kill them, to steal from them and ultimately attempting to destroy them completely (John 10:10). Yet, we will proclaim the goodness of Jesus Christ and the abundant life He came to give us by His victory on the cross which provides salvation for all who confess Him as Lord and believe that He was raised from the dead (Romans 10:9-10). The Greek word “sozo” means, “to save, i.e. deliver or protect (literally or figuratively):–heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole”. (from Strong’s Concordance – word number #4982). Thayer’s Greek Lexicon also adds: “to save, i.e. one suffering from disease, to make well, heal, restore to health”. No matter what you are facing today, ask God to give you the grace you need to proclaim His Word which stands forever. This song is based on Psalm 44 where the psalmist petitions God to move in power even when He seems to be so silent. Speak/sing out this song over yourself and your loved ones by the authority given you by the Blood Covenant of the Lamb! He waits for you to call out to Him and rest in Him – no matter if your assignment on earth is completed or whether He has more for you to do. (Exodus 15:26b / Psalm 103:3b / Isaiah 53:5b).
(Spoken) (from Job 3)
May the day perish on which I was born (vs.3).
May that day be darkness;
May God above not seek it,
Nor the light shine upon it (vs.4).
Why did I not die at birth?
Why did I not perish when I came from the womb (vs.11)?
For now I would have lain still and been quiet,
I would have been asleep;
Then I would have been at rest (vs.13)
With kings and counselors of the earth,
Who built ruins for themselves (vs.14),
Or with princes who had gold,
Who filled their houses with silver (vs.15);
Or why was I not hidden like a stillborn child,
Like infants who never saw light? (vs.16)
There the wicked cease from troubling,
And there the weary are at rest (vs.17).
“Why is light given to him who is in misery,
And life to the bitter soul (vs.20),
Who long for death, but it does not come,
And search for it more than hidden treasures (vs.21);
For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me,
And what I dreaded has happened to me (vs.25).
Verse
I don’t know why I feel the pain all through me now (Job 2:7-8 & 13)
Taking my life, my dreams, my strength, my vision (Job 3:11-13; 7:3-5 / Jeremiah 20:14-18).
Many people have come and gone (Job 2:11-13).
Their expectations met with sorrow (Psalm 13:1-2 / Jeremiah 8:18 / Lamentations 3:15-18).
What words will move Your Mighty Hand – unequalled healing power? (Deuteronomy 9:26 / Psalm 89:13 / Luke 6:19)

The fall of Lucifer (Satan) stirred in him a hatred for all mankind because all of us are created in God’s image. Satan is the accuser of the Bride, the Church and he wants us to believe that God does not care. Sometimes we believe him (Psalm 22:1-2; 42:3 & 9-10). But our Creator loves us deeply and comforts us with His unfailing love (2 Corinthians 1:3-5) and is preparing all living followers of Jesus Christ as His spotless Bride (Philippians 1:6). Everything Satan throws at God’s people is addressed in God’s Word. His time is limited when he will oppress the Bride (Revelation 12:10). Jesus Christ is the Bridegroom Who awaits the day when He and the Bride are brought together to spend eternity together. He reminds Satan twice where he has fallen from and then sings to His Bride from Song of Solomon.
The Bride
Waiting – For so many years I’ve yearned to see Your face and be (Matthew 25:1-13 / 1 John 3:2-3 / Revelation 22:17)
All that You desire in me (2 Timothy 4:8 / Revelation 19:7-8).
Yet the dark one – unrelenting – condescending – never stops accusing me (John 8:44 / John 10:10a / Revelation 12:10).
Satan – V1
You don’t think that they all think that you care (1 Peter 5:7).
Silent screams are happening right now.
Suffering is what I bring and they think (Job 2:7-8 / 1 Peter 5:8-9).
It’s Your plan! The Son of man has won? (Yes, Jesus Christ has won! Colossians 1:13-14; 2:13-15 / 1 John 3:8).
Everyone will turn and run when they see
Visions of the blood that runs from them (Matthew 10:21-22 / Mark 6:25-27 / Revelation 6:9-11).
I will see my victory when they laugh (In the end we see Satan fully subjected to the Lord and judged (Matthew 25:41 / 1 Corinthians 15:24-28 / Revelation 20:10).
Turn away another way is theirs (Hebrews 6:4-6).
Jesus Christ – V1
Ages passed since we stood upon that lonely mountain (Luke 4:5-8).
You promised Me the world but you knew your words were folly (vs.5).
We created you – Father, Son & Holy Spirit (Ezekiel 28:15 / Colossians 1:16).
How you are fallen, cut down to the ground! (Isaiah 14:12)
They will see the victory when they abide in Me (John 15:4-5 & 7-8 / Romans 8:37 / 2 Corinthians 2:14a).

Don’t you see the pain that they feel? (Yes! Jesus does feel our pain. Isaiah 53:4 / John 11:33-36 / Acts 9:1-5)
Infirmity will follow me destroying everything (John 10:10a)

They are mine they worship time, (We are the Lord’s! John 10:27-29; 17:9-11 & 15 / Ephesians 1:13-14)
Their pleasures ruling them controlling them always. (If we live in Christ by His Spirit, pleasures do not rule us. Romans 6:11; 13:13-14 / Galatians 5:16 / Ephesians 4:20 / 2 Peter 1:3).

This song was written in honor of the victory that an Alaska Native friend of mine experienced in defeating alcoholism and the demonic influence that once ruled his life. Jesus said that Satan is a thief that comes to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). Take time to look up the verses in this song that often talk of physical enemies that give us insight into the spiritual battle with principalities and powers that seek to destroy us. Embrace the promise that Jesus Christ came to give you life and free you from the power of the enemy. He will surround you with His holy angels to defeat the enemy by the power of His Name.
