This is a worship song for those of us who are followers of Jesus Christ. He is the One True Living God. As you read the book of Hebrews, you will see that sacrifices were extremely important under the Old Covenant (The Mosaic Law).
Under the New Covenant (the Gospel of Jesus Christ) God desires the praise and thanksgiving of His people rather than offerings of animals and grain (Hebrews 13:15-16) as in the Old Covenant.
If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, the Bible teaches that you are a priest (1 Peter 2:5,9) and responsible for offering praise and thanks to God (Psalm 54:6; Romans 12:1). But just remember, our praise needs to come from people whose lives are also marked by loving action (James 1:27, 1 John 3: 18).
Worship Him! Praise Him with a LOUD voice and cymbals (2 Chronicles 20:19; Psalm 26:7; 150:5; Luke 19:37) Worship our Lord Jesus Christ and enjoy His presence (Romans 15:11)!
Verse 1
God’s angels gather round (Revelation 5:11; 7:11) They listen for the sound of worship to their King (Psalm 74:12) With loud “HOSANNAS” ring we lift our voice and sing (Matthew 21:9,15) We praise His Name on High (Psalm 9:1-2)
CHORUS
Sing to the Lord (Psalm 30:4) oh sing to the Lord a new song (Psalm 98:1) Sing to the Lord for He has done marvelous things (Psalm 86:10; 96:1-3)
Verse 2
Jesus our glorious King (Revelation 19:11-16) Master of everything (Ephesians 6:9; Colossians 1:16) I lift my hands to you (Psalm 63:4; 119:48) Your Blood has made me clean (Hebrews 9:18- 22; 1 Peter 1:19) And now I’m really free to bow before your throne (Hebrews 4:14-16).
Verse 3
Who will not fear You Lord (Psalm 96:4) Your righteous acts adored (Psalm 105:1-2) Bring glory to Your Name (Revelation 1:5-8) Open blind eyes to see (John 9:25; 2 Corinthians 4:4) Worship Your Majesty (Psalm 104:1) Our Lord Almighty Reigns (Psalm 9: 7-8; Revelation 19:6)
