Perfected

This song was inspired by the many martyrs who have given their lives throughout the ages because they publicly proclaimed their faith and allegiance to our LORD, Jesus Christ. Although Christ secured eternal salvation once for all on the Cross – being perfected for all of us and resurrected from the dead – completing the work, suffering for Him is still part of the Christian life (Philippians1:29). Every believer in Jesus Christ should ask themselves if they would be willing to give their lives for Him.

V1 – Prepare My Bride to be (Revelation 19:7-8)
Perfected by the sword (James 1:2-4 / Romans 8:35-37 / Hebrews 11:35-38).
In reverent sweet surrender (Philippians 1:20-21 / Acts 21:12-13 / Luke 7:37-38)
Her beauty I adore (Revelation 21:9-11).

V2 – The rage she sees is rising (Acts 7:54 / 1 Peter 4:12-16 / Luke 7:37-38)
The horror black with fear.
Yet through it all surprising
Is peace and joy so near (John 16:32-33 / John 14:27).

V3 – No one seems to see the glory (John 12:39-41 / 2 Corinthians 4:3-4)
Eyes are blinded, dark and cold (2 Corinthians 4:4).
But time reveals the story
Kill the body but not the soul (Matthew 10:28).

V4 – Father, I see the glory (Acts 7:55-56)
He is standing at Your right hand
Look now unto the heavens
Jesus Christ, the Son of Man.

Chorus

Its time to go now (2 Timothy 4:6-7).
Its time to glorify the Son (1 Peter 3:13-17).
Who went before you (Deuteronomy 31:8).
The great I AM became the one that the Father was pleased to crush (John 8:58/ Mark 14:62 / Isaiah 53:10)
For He took all the sin for every one of us (John 1:29 / 1 John 3:5).
Its time to glorify the Son
Love reaching out for everyone (John 3:16 / Romans 5:8 / Ephesians 2:4-5 / 1 John 4:10).

V5 – Jesus, receive my spirit (Acts 7:59)
Do not charge them with this sin (Acts 7:60)
Open eyes that they may see You (Luke 4:18 / Acts 26:17-18)
Receive me – I’ll enter in (2 Corinthians 5:8).
