Mighty Warrior

King David had a group of 37 men who fought alongside him as his “special forces”. They are listed in 2 Samuel 23:8-38 and 1 Chronicles 11:40-47. They not only protected their King but they also made war against the enemies of Israel. God declared in Exodus 17:16 that He would “make war with Amalek from generation to generation”. It is clear from scripture that a demonic principality dominated and motivated the enemies of Israel throughout their history in the Old Testament and continues to this day. This “Spirit of Amalek” is an ancient demonic principality and continues to reveal itself in nations and people groups today who seek to eradicate Israel. Ephesians 6:12 tells us clearly that principalities and powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual hosts rule nations and inhabit people who manifest their hatred against God’s people. The culmination of their demonic influence will ultimately usher in the coming Antichrist who will attempt to rule the world (Revelation 13:11-18). But he will be utterly annihilated by Jesus Christ Himself as He returns as the final “Mighty Warrior” (Revelation 19:11-21) as the Most High God. As David’s mighty men taunted their enemy and subdued them under the power of the Holy Spirit, we must also embrace the same authority that was given to us by the completed and fulfilled Blood Covenant of our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8) and continue on the work of destroying the work of devil as Jesus did (1 John 3:8, Luke 10:19, Mark 16:17-18).

Out standin’ in the bean field, taking down, cutting down, spillin’ that Philistine blood (Shammah in 2 Samuel 23:11-12).

Your gods are worthless – powerless – can’t stand up to the righteous Holy One

Your idols aren’t worth following  – picking up pieces off the stone cold floor (Dagon in 1 Samuel 5)

Just try and cage the Glory of the Most High, glorious, Living LORD (Exodus 24:17).

Pathetic words of arrogance, standing on your mountain feelin’ oh so strong (1 Samuel 17:3)

The Lord of Hosts is with us

For His glory we sing this song (Psalm 138:5).

ChorusEphesians 6:10-20

I’m a Mighty Warrior

Standin’ for my King this why I sing

Mighty Warrior

All glory to Him is what I bring

Mighty Warrior

         Without Him I cannot stand

Mighty Warrior

I’ll praise His Name all across this land.

The hordes of hell are listening what do you think we all should say (Ephesians 3:10).

The Blood of Christ rebukes you. You must leave. You cannot stay (Revelation 12:11, Colossians 1:13-14 & 2:13-15, Hebrews 2:14).

Let all the earth receive the King of Kings victorious One (Psalm 24:7-10, Revelation 17:14)

To Your GLORY for Your GLORY – we raise our hands and sing this song (worship defeats the enemy, Psalm 149:5-9).
