Awake

This song was written and performed for the glory of God for His people who are experiencing the pain and calamity that Satan unleashes in various ways to kill them, to steal from them and ultimately attempting to destroy them completely (John 10:10). Yet, we will proclaim the goodness of Jesus Christ and the abundant life He came to give us by His victory on the cross which provides salvation for all who confess Him as Lord and believe that He was raised from the dead (Romans 10:9-10). The Greek word “sozo” means, “to save, i.e. deliver or protect (literally or figuratively):–heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole”. (from Strong’s Concordance – word number #4982). Thayer’s Greek Lexicon also adds: “to save, i.e. one suffering from disease, to make well, heal, restore to health”No matter what you are facing today, ask God to give you the grace you need to proclaim His Word which stands forever.This song is based on Psalm 44 where the psalmist petitions God to move in power even when He seems to be so silent. Speak/sing out this song over yourself and your loved ones by the authority given you by the Blood Covenant of the Lamb! He waits for you to call out to Him and rest in Him – no matter if your assignment on earth is completed or whether He has more for you to do. (Exodus 15:26b / Psalm 103:3b / Isaiah 53:5b).

(Spoken) (from Job 3)

May the day perish on which I was born (vs.3).
May that day be darkness;
May God above not seek it,
Nor the light shine upon it (vs.4).
Why did I not die at birth?
Why did I not perish when I came from the womb (vs.11)?
For now I would have lain still and been quiet,
I would have been asleep;
Then I would have been at rest (vs.13)
With kings and counselors of the earth,
Who built ruins for themselves (vs.14),
Or with princes who had gold,
Who filled their houses with silver (vs.15);
Or why was I not hidden like a stillborn child,
Like infants who never saw light? (vs.16)
There the wicked cease from troubling,
And there the weary are at rest (vs.17).
“Why is light given to him who is in misery,
And life to the bitter soul (vs.20),
Who long for death, but it does not come,
And search for it more than hidden treasures (vs.21);
For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me,
And what I dreaded has happened to me (vs.25).
